This park is kept up very nicely with pull through sites that have a small grass area and a tree. For how close it is to the downtown area, we were very happy with the campground.

The only thing this campground has going for it is it's location. It's basically a parking lot overlooking electrical power lines. The shower flooded the floor outside so it made it impossible to get dressed without getting your clothes wet. Make sure to check everything with the manager, some of the information that is on the brochure and website are inaccurate. We would not stay here again.

This is a great park. They have electric only hookups. They have potable water, but it is recommended to bring water in the winter, because when we were there the pipes froze. We got a couple of channels with our antenna. The restrooms were not clean, only because there was no water - the showers are free and clean. This is a beautiful park with trails & wildlife - would stay again!

This is a very nice campground. There are many different site options to choose from. We stayed in the I campground which included water & electric hookups. There are cable boxes, but no cable service. We were walking distance to the lake. The campground is clean and well maintained. Would stay here again.

As far as an overnight stay, this place was good. The staff led us to our site. The sites were clean. The site we stayed at did not have cable, but you can get reception with an antenna to major network channels. Quiet, yet close to the highway - would recommend.

What a gorgeous park! There are two trails that start in the campground that are nice. Across Highway 1 is the beach - camping is available in the parking lot there for one night only. Most of the sites are shaded and quite large. The showers are not free - but they are clean. Wi-Fi is available through AT&T in the Visitors Center parking lot only. The campground is located a couple of miles from Mendocino - a beautiful city. We would definitely stay here again.

This campground is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever been to. It is set among the redwoods - we had some huge trees in our campsite. There are waterfront sites along the Smith River - most of them look pretty small - if our trailer would have fit they are definitely the best sites. There are trails that go throughout the entire camp which are nice, but no dogs are allowed on them. There is a large group tent site that looks awesome. The showers were not open when we were there. Would stay here again.

This park is meant for one purpose only, to stop on the I-5. The park was clean, but the sites are dirt (dust). They have a little playground that is old, but nothing was in disrepair. I couldn't tell if the pool could be used - we just wanted to spend the night. The person at the front desk was nice. Fast food restaurants are walking distance. You can definitely hear the highway. Expensive for what it is, but there are little other options when traveling from No. to So. Calif. We would stay here again if the need arose.

Nice shaded sites. Very close to Point Reyes Nat. Seashore, which is beautiful. Got really crowded on Saturday and the sites are pretty close together. Wasn't a problem, though, was really quiet after hours. Has showers that are semi-private that are free and clean. Overall, a really nice place with large trees.

We had stayed at this park before and had a wonderful time, but it had been approximately 15 years prior. We were very disappointed in the changes that had occurred. The majority of the park is occupied by permanent residences, which include RV's and park model mobile homes. There are only around 10 full hookup campsites that can be used for campers. I only saw one tent site, which looked nice. The bathrooms that were located near us were closed the entire time we were there & smelled really bad. There was only one picnic table for all of the RV sites and you can get a fire pit upon request. There are 2 ponds, one looks like they are trying to empty it & the other looked nicer, but still had a lot of trash in & around it. There was no longer a store, or the large clubhouse that we remembered. The playground looked run-down & had graffiti written on it. The first night we were there, 2 men were involved in a fist fight. It was not very peaceful because there was always dogs barking and loud music playing. We couldn't walk our dog like we usually do, because there were always stray dogs running around that looked sick. The price for this campground was an astonishing $45 a night, what is normally paid for a camping resort. This campground is no resort.

This is a nice campground. Most of the campsites have no shade, only the ones next to the stream are shaded by aspen trees. There are wonderful views of the mountains that border the campground. Water faucets can be far away for some sites. There is a dump station. You can make reservations online.

Our family has camped here 3 times. We have had a great experience every time. You definitely need a reservation, especially if you would like to be on the blufftop, which is definitely recommended. The beach is beautiful and can be accessed by stairs. There are many water faucets & dump stations are easy to use.
